Fernando Pinhancos, MSPT or better known around the office as Freddy, received his Masters degree in physical therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2002. He attained his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Rhode Island in 1997. He is a native Rhode Islander and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Freddy spent a large part of his professional career learning and utilizing manual therapy skills, such as muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, Mulligan techniques, and joint mobilization. Prior to joining Specialized Orthopedic Physical Therapy he was fortunate enough to work for multiple orthopedic groups that exposed him to a wide variety of post-op patients and protocols. In 2011 Freddy became TPI certified and designed the Total Body Golf fitness program. In his free time he enjoys cheering for the local sports teams, golfing, and spending time with his wife.
